Human Resources Associate – Half Moon Cay (Bahamas)

About the role

The Human Resources Associate supports the efficient operation of the HR department at Half Moon Cay, a Carnival Corporation destination. The role assists with talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and a range of HR functions, ensuring smooth HR processes across the island.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the HR Information System (HRIS) by tracking employee data such as sick days, vacation, overtime, and other leave, and generate monthly HR reports.
• Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, training coordination, development, and exit processes.
• Collaborate with managers on hiring, transfers, promotions, leaves, and terminations; assist with job fairs, postings, interview preparation, reference checks, and offer letters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local employment regulations, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee matters.
• Perform general HR administrative tasks and provide guidance to managers and supervisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an HR generalist or customer‑service‑focused HR role.
• SHRM‑CP or similar certification preferred.
• Clear spoken English.
• Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
