IT Support Technician

About the role

Amentum is looking for a hands‑on IT Support Technician to manage the physical network infrastructure on Andros Island. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot networking hardware, cabling and related IT assets, ensuring reliable connectivity for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Wi‑Fi Access Points and ensure optimal coverage.
• Install, mount and connect routers, switches, patch panels and other network equipment in server racks.
• Run, pull and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 and low‑voltage cabling; label and organize cables in server closets.
• Perform basic network testing using cable testers, ping, tracert and resolve LAN issues.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and document network layouts and cable paths.

Required profile

• Associate degree in IT or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience as an IT Technician.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lb.
• Citizenship of the Bahamas (mandatory).
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, BICSI.
