Lifeguard – Half Moon Cay (Bahamas)

About the role

The Lifeguard ensures the safety of guests in and around the designated aquatic areas of Half Moon Cay. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will monitor swimmers, enforce safety rules, and respond quickly to any emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in swim areas and enforce water‑safety regulations.
• Perform rescues, administer First Aid, CPR, and emergency care when needed.
• Inspect and maintain beach/pool equipment, facilities, and water quality.
• Support cleaning, set up and return lifeguarding gear daily, and uphold environmental standards.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, and assist with opening/closing swim areas.
• Report incidents, hazards, and unsafe behaviors to the Lifeguard Supervisor.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and work outdoors.
• Willingness to work shift schedules as required.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to follow company dress standards and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
