Lifeguard – Princess Cays, Bahamas

About the role

The Lifeguard ensures the safety of guests in and around the swimming areas at Princess Cays. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will monitor patrons, enforce water‑safety rules and respond quickly to any emergency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of swimmers and enforce all safety policies.
• Warn guests of unsafe behavior and ensure compliance with water‑safety regulations.
• Perform rescues, administer First Aid, CPR and artificial respiration when needed.
• Report incidents, injuries and hazards to the Lifeguard Supervisor.
• Inspect beach/pool equipment, facilities and water quality; support cleaning and maintenance.
• Set up and return lifeguarding equipment each shift and assist with opening/closing swim areas.
• Participate in required training, meetings and skill‑maintenance sessions.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods in an outdoor environment.
• Willingness to work shift schedules, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Strong teamwork, communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to follow company dress standards and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Current certifications in CPR, First Aid and water rescue.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data‑entry/reporting tools.
