Logistics Coordinator II – Shipping & Receiving

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Logistics Coordinator II to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission, providing critical shipping and receiving services for naval and research operations. The position requires a Secret U.S. Government Clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, distribute, account for, and issue supplies and equipment arriving or shipping by barge or air.
• Sort, screen, log, monitor, and expedite all inbound materials.
• Prepare outbound cargo for shipment by barge or air and build pallets following hazmat, IMDG and IATA protocols.
• Operate government vehicles between Shipping & Receiving and Fresh Creek airport and provide cargo and baggage support for aircraft.
• Maintain inventory, store material in assigned locations, and ensure warehouse cleanliness and order.
• Load and unload trucks, transport cargo between Andros Freight Services and other AUTEC locations, and act as U.S. Mail courier for classified cargo.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of logistics experience, including 2 years handling hazardous materials.
• Forklift Operator certification and 3 years of forklift operation experience.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 lb and work flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, passport, and eligibility for a Secret clearance.
• Willingness to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.
