Optometrist – Private Practice (Nassau, Bahamas)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Optometrist to join our solo private practice in Nassau, Bahamas. The position is full‑time, on‑site, and offers a supportive environment with experienced staff. Candidates may be Bahamian or international and must hold a Doctor of Optometry degree.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refractions and binocular vision assessments.
• Evaluate ocular health for patients of all ages.
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions such as glaucoma and anterior segment diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Provide patient education on eye health, treatment plans, and preventive care.

Required profile

• Doctor of Optometry qualification.
• Open to new graduates as well as candidates with up to 3‑4 years of experience.
• Willingness to work full‑time onsite with no weekend duties.
• Ability to relocate to the Bahamas (relocation assistance provided for non‑local candidates).
