Patient Finance Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Patient Finance Administrator to join our DHB Patient Finance facility. The role ensures smooth operation of patient finance and business office functions, providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust patient accounts for promotions, campaigns and other changes.
• Assess patients’ financial needs, calculate non‑covered amounts, and determine eligibility for credit agreements.
• Establish and maintain payment contracts and update the payment agreement database.
• Post payments received via counter, payment portal (Fygaro), bank or wire transfers.
• Process patient refunds through check, credit card or bank transfer.
• Support day‑to‑day financial management of outpatient and remote patient finance processes.
• Prepare demand letters, file caveats and assist with month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reporting.
• Interact with clients daily, answering inquiries and providing clear explanations.
• Complete special projects, research, forecasting and conflict resolution as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree with 2‑3 years related experience or a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Business (preferred).
• Three or more years of experience in customer‑focused finance administration.
• Strong ethics, reliability and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications.
