Port Facility Security Officer

About the role

The Port Facility Security Officer ensures the safety and security of guests, team members, visitors, and assets at the private destination. Reporting to the General Manager, this role implements the Destination Security Plan, oversees the security team, and coordinates emergency response and crisis management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily security operations with the Security and Leadership Teams, ensuring 24‑hour coverage.
• Implement and enforce security policies set by Global Security and maintain compliance with the ISPS Code and company security procedures.
• Manage access control, master key systems, and CCTV operations, addressing blind spots and maintaining proper licensing.
• Prepare and maintain security documentation, including investigation reports, statements, and CCTV records.
• Lead security inspections of accommodations and facilities, and conduct investigations of criminal allegations.
• Support firefighting, lifesaving activities, and ensure all team members are trained for emergency assignments.
• Escalate serious incidents to local police and coordinate with Global Security and Shoreside Leadership.

• Excellent communication skills for interaction with guests, team members, and external authorities.
• Proven experience in security management, crisis response, and emergency planning.
• Ability to train and motivate a security team and ensure compliance with safety standards.
