Security Officer - Patrol and Protection

About the role

The Security Officer – Patrol and Protection ensures the safety of guests, staff and assets at Carnival’s Celebration Key destination. You will monitor areas, conduct regular patrols, control access and respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to security incidents, accidents, emergencies and disturbances, taking immediate control and escalating when necessary.
• Monitor and control entry/exit points, verify identification, and conduct screenings, baggage checks, pat‑downs and vehicle inspections.
• Perform regular patrols of designated zones to detect and prevent hazards, reporting suspicious activity or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports and communicate security protocols to guests, staff and management.
• Participate in security drills, training exercises and continuous learning to enhance readiness.
• Assist with general maintenance by identifying and reporting safety‑related issues.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced security environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and reliable record‑keeping.
• Physical fitness to stand for long periods, conduct outdoor patrols and perform security screenings.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with data entry and reporting tools.
