Senior Manager – State & Local Tax (FSO)

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Financial Services Office (FSO) tax practice in Freeport, Grand Bahamas. The role focuses on State and Local Tax (SALT) matters for asset‑management clients, including hedge funds, private equity and mutual funds. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tax compliance and advisory services that align with client business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SALT compliance and advisory engagements for fund clients.
• Manage tax compliance accounts, including preparation and review of K‑1s and partnership tax returns.
• Analyze securities, make tax adjustments, and sign‑off deliverables.
• Review partnership agreements and private placement memorandums for tax implications.
• Develop and implement tax strategies that support client growth and risk management.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional with extensive experience in state and local tax.
• Demonstrated ability to manage senior‑level client engagements in the asset‑management sector.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
