Strategic Resource Management Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an analytical, organized, and collaborative professional to serve as a Strategic Resource Management Consultant. In this role you will support the implementation of an IT Financial Management tool and drive financial and resource planning, IT cost optimisation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring product‑level OKRs and ensure alignment with institutional priorities.
• Collaborate with product teams to align operating methodologies, prioritisation decisions and budget allocation across RUN, GROW and TRANSFORM initiatives.
• Support governance processes for prioritisation and funding decisions, maintaining consistency with approved budget frameworks.
• Prepare executive reports and dashboards on budget execution, investment performance and cost transparency.
• Provide data‑driven analysis to senior management for investment prioritisation and resource allocation.
• Support implementation and adoption of the IT Financial Management (ITFM) tool to improve cost transparency and funding allocation.
• Assist in preparation, allocation and monitoring of capital and administrative budgets, including investment proposals.
• Monitor use of financial resources to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and track value generated by investments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in analytical thinking, financial or cost management, strategy support and technology‑related competencies.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken); French or Portuguese is a plus.
• Citizenship of one of the IDB Group’s 48 member countries and eligibility to work without sponsorship.
• No family members up to fourth degree of consanguinity or second degree of affinity employed at IDB, IDB Invest or IDB Lab.
