Venue Manager

About the role

The Venue Manager oversees the full lifecycle of all venues, from commissioning to de‑commissioning, ensuring they meet internal standards and operational guidelines. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role coordinates with maintenance, security, and service teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost‑effective venue operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, staffing, and equipping of venues for each event.
• Collaborate with maintenance to maintain safety, energy, and water conservation standards.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs and conduct regular facility inspections.
• Manage space allocation, intra‑office moves, and refurbishment projects.
• Oversee central services such as reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, and parking.
• Source quotes, compare costs, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance.
• Control facility budgets, track expenses, and produce financial reports.
• Liaise with the Security Manager to ensure venue security and respond to alarms or system failures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing venues or large facilities.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and industry compliance standards.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and external contractors.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
