Vice President Human Resources – The Bahamas

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Vice President of Human Resources to lead the people function for a fast‑growing organization in The Bahamas. Reporting to the corporate VP of HR and the President of CTL Maritime Bahamas, you will design and scale a comprehensive HR operating model that supports rapid workforce expansion and drives a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an HR strategy aligned with the company’s ambitious growth targets (300 to 1,200‑1,500 employees).
• Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, culture, and employee relations.
• Establish and manage a dedicated training centre in Freeport, covering onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and workforce readiness.
• Design compensation, benefits, job architecture, career pathways, and succession planning frameworks.
• Build scalable HR policies, systems, governance, analytics, and operational processes.
• Drive employee engagement, retention, and an inclusive workplace culture.
• Oversee HR operations for a diverse, shift‑based workforce, including scheduling, attendance, performance, and relations.
• Ensure compliance with Bahamian employment laws, immigration processes, and workplace regulations.

Required profile

• Commercially minded senior HR leader with deep expertise across all HR functions.
• Proven experience scaling HR in large, complex, matrixed multinational environments.
• Strong execution capability and ability to influence executive leadership.
• Demonstrated success building HR frameworks, systems, and processes to support rapid growth.
• Knowledge of Bahamian employment legislation and compliance requirements.
