Vice President of Construction and Development

About the role

Brickell Management Group is looking for a Vice President of Construction and Development to lead planning, execution and delivery of its diverse development portfolio across commercial, residential, hospitality and industrial sectors. The role reports to the President and sits on the executive leadership team, overseeing project managers, construction managers and development staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development pipeline from concept through stabilisation and turnover for commercial, residential, hospitality and industrial projects.
• Direct feasibility analysis, due diligence and underwriting support, including constructability reviews, cost estimates and delivery schedules.
• Oversee entitlement and approvals, managing town planning submissions, permits, environmental approvals and utility coordination.
• Manage selection and performance of architects, engineers and consultants, guiding design to meet quality, cost and schedule targets.
• Direct pre‑construction activities such as budgeting, value engineering, procurement strategy, contractor pre‑qualification, bidding and contract negotiation.
• Oversee construction delivery, holding contractors accountable for schedule, cost, quality and safety, and enforce project controls.
• Own project budgets and proformas, report variances early and drive corrective actions to protect returns.
• Build, lead and develop the construction and development team, establishing processes, templates and a culture of accountability, safety and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture or a related field.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience in construction and real‑estate development, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Proven track record delivering projects on schedule and budget across two or more sectors (commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial).
• Strong command of construction contracting, procurement, cost management and scheduling.
• Experience leading and developing multi‑disciplinary project teams.
