Visa & Immigration Specialist – Supervising Associate

About the role

EY is looking for a Visa & Immigration Supervising Associate to join its Bahamas Talent Team. The role ensures full compliance with Bahamian immigration legislation while supporting the attraction and retention of global talent through end‑to‑end work permit administration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of work permit applications, renewals and related immigration activities for new hires and existing employees.
• Provide immigration guidance to overseas candidates, prospective joiners and current staff, ensuring all documentation meets statutory requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for immigration queries, applying policy and legislative knowledge to resolve issues or escalate complex cases.
• Monitor visa expiry dates, renewal timelines and application status to maintain ongoing compliance with Bahamian regulations.
• Identify immigration risks, policy gaps or procedural inefficiencies and propose practical solutions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential immigration records in HR systems and personnel files.
• Produce regular reports on immigration status, upcoming renewals and employee data changes.
• Participate in Talent Shared Services projects and support the team during peak periods or complex cases.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Bahamian immigration legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience with HR systems for tracking immigration data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
