Water Safety Manager – Half Moon Cay & Princess Cays

About the role

The Water Safety Manager will lead all water‑related safety operations for RelaxAway’s Half Moon Cay and Princess Cays resorts in the Bahamas. Working on‑site with rotational schedules, you will ensure swimmers, boaters and guests enjoy a safe environment while complying with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce water safety policies and emergency response plans.
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise lifeguards, instructors and supervisors.
• Conduct regular safety drills, audits and inspections of swimming areas, boat zones and related facilities.
• Assess hazards such as currents, underwater obstructions and environmental risks, and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate rescue operations, provide first aid and liaise with emergency services when incidents occur.
• Educate guests on water safety practices and promote awareness of potential risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing lifeguard teams or water‑safety programs, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of local maritime and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and training abilities.
• Ability to work on an island location with rotational on‑site housing.
