Design & Creative Content Associate

About the role

The Island School, a not-for-profit in The Bahamas focused on education, research and sustainable development, is hiring a Design & Creative Content Associate. Reporting to the Communications & Marketing Supervisor, the associate coordinates visual brand representation across print and digital media, delivers projects on time and helps create consistent, engaging stories. The position is full-time, on campus, with an expected start date of 1 September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consistent visual representation across multimedia projects in line with brand standards, working with the Marketing and Communications Supervisor
• Lead graphic design for short- and long-term projects, including multi-page publications, promotional materials, the website and social media graphics
• Manage workflow, review processes, packaging and archiving of design files
• Adapt logos and graphics for merchandise and signage
• Create video content for web, social media and marketing, and help with social media content creation and posting
• Collaborate on campaign materials, sharing and strategy, and assist with website design, development and maintenance
• Take part in weekly team meetings and event preparation, and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• 2-3 years of professional experience in communications and marketing, specifically graphic design or a related field
• Ability to work independently while managing several projects at once
• Experience producing marketing materials for varied audiences
• Flexibility for remote island living and comfort working around the water and on boats
• Interest in working with young people and students of all ages

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Cloud, with a strong preference for extensive experience in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro
• Social media content creation on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
