Head of Sports

About the role

Inspired Education is seeking an exceptional Head of Sports to join the founding team at King’s College School, The Bahamas. The role starts in August 2027 and will lead the sports department within a newly built, state‑of‑the‑art campus that includes a swimming pool, football pitches, tennis and padel courts, and a premium beachfront boarding house.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned sports lessons that challenge and inspire all students.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback to drive outstanding achievement.
• Create a positive learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to take risks.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and contribute to the school’s co‑curricular programme.
• Maintain constructive communication with parents, building strong partnerships to support each child’s development.

Required profile

• Passion for education with a proven ability to engage and motivate young people.
• Strong track record of personal, academic and professional excellence.
• Experience in pastoral care, student wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Leadership experience in an educational setting, including curriculum development and department management.
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent qualification; postgraduate study is a plus.
