About the role

The client seeks a hands‑on Recreation / Watersports Leader to manage watersports and marine recreation on an exclusive ultra‑high‑net‑worth private island. The role blends strong watersports experience with mechanical or engineering expertise to ensure safe, flawless guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily watersports and marine recreation activities, maintaining safety and operational efficiency.
• Inspect, maintain and repair boats, watercraft, engines and related equipment, implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
• Operate and supervise a range of motorised and non‑motorised watersports equipment.
• Enforce water safety procedures, emergency protocols and maritime standards.
• Maintain equipment inventories, maintenance logs and safety documentation.
• Deliver discreet, personalised service to UHNW guests and collaborate with other island departments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in watersports, marine recreation or related leisure operations.
• Mechanical or engineering background with practical knowledge of marine machinery and engines.
• Ability to diagnose faults, troubleshoot and perform mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• Strong understanding of boats, personal watercraft, watersports equipment and marine safety systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to personalised guest service.
