Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator provides administrative support to the Director of Housekeeping and the Rooms team at The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort in the Bahamas. The role calls for strong organizational and secretarial skills, sound judgment and initiative, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. It covers supporting department operations, maintaining office supplies and equipment, coordinating administrative services and helping with facility maintenance needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and complete support tasks for the Director and other department heads of Housekeeping
• Supervise all administrative office activities and oversee the Housekeeping desk to keep information consistent and accurate
• Organize ordering and delivery of items and track orders
• Supervise employee file management
• Prepare, maintain and distribute weekly schedules for management and line staff
• Print and maintain daily hotel operation reports
• Monitor and maintain supplies, equipment and facilities, and order them according to policy
• Develop and coordinate managerial and administrative meetings, negotiate rates for materials and assist the Director in preparing for meetings
• Use computer software to carry out assignments and handle administrative tasks such as budget, procurement, contracts, inventory control, personnel, safety, security, records and more

Required profile

• Legal ability to work in the Bahamas without sponsorship
• Strong organizational and secretarial skills
