About the role
A hotel in Nassau is looking for a Laundry Attendant on an on-call basis within its housekeeping team. The role covers washing, folding and caring for hotel linens and banquet and kitchen laundry.
Key responsibilities
- Sort linens for the washer and remove stains from badly soiled linen.
- Operate washers and dryers properly.
- Fold all linens to hotel standards.
- Wash banquet and kitchen laundry, and bedspreads, bed pads, sheets and blankets according to instructions.
- Keep the laundry area neat and clean.
- Check daily for banquet and restaurant linen needs.
- Handle laundry chemicals properly and advise the Housekeeper of inventory levels.
- Assist the Housekeeper in other areas when laundry is slow or work is caught up.
