Night Auditor

About the role

The Night Auditor is a full-time position in the hotel industry in Nassau, responsible for closing out the day's accounts and managing front-desk operations overnight. The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Key responsibilities

• Balance the accounts from the day shift.
• Manage front desk activity and handle guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Schedule wake-up calls and other concierge activities according to guest preferences.
• Handle customer requests and complaints and direct other employees or departments accordingly.
• Create invoices, bills and checks for guests.
• Manage and update all official documentation pertaining to the role.
• Ensure that end-of-day activities have been completed by employees in all departments.
• Answer calls and enquiries about potential bookings, hotel services, guest registration, shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• At least 3 years of experience in the hotel industry.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards within hotels.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently with little or no assistance, and with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proven team leadership record, including scheduling, coaching, training and supporting team members to meet hotel standards.
• Good communication, interpersonal and work ethics.

Required skills

• Computer-based tasks such as data entry, accounting, word processing, invoicing and billing.
• Working knowledge of Excel and MS Word.
• Attention to detail, organization, time management and multitasking.
