Property Management Officer

About the role

The Property Management Officer will support the maintenance, administration, security and operational management of the Credit Union's properties and facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating maintenance, repair and upkeep of owned and leased properties.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds and equipment and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor preventative maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion.
• Support lease renewals, monthly billing and issuance of notices.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, utility and service providers.
• Obtain quotations and assist in procurement related to facilities maintenance.
• Track contractor performance and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Maintain accurate property, asset, vendor and maintenance records.
• Assist with facility security measures such as access controls and surveillance systems.
• Support renovation, relocation and capital improvement projects.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Prepare reports, budgets and recommendations for property management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out minor handyman tasks like replacing ceiling tiles and light bulbs.

Required profile

• Five BGCSEs (C or above) including Mathematics and English, or an Associate Degree in a related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in property or facilities management, preferably with contractor and vendor coordination.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
