Quantity Surveyor – Hotels, Residential & Marine Projects

About the role

The client, an established property developer in The Bahamas, seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage costs across a diverse portfolio of hotels, residential apartments, marine developments and leisure schemes. You will work directly with the developer from early estimates through to final accounts, balancing contractor‑led and self‑delivered projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce early estimates and cost plans to guide new scheme decisions.
• Procure and manage main contracts on contractor‑led projects, handling tenders, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Run the cost side of self‑delivered builds, including package procurement, subcontractor orders, valuations and cost‑to‑complete reporting.
• Report cost forecasts directly to the developer across a live portfolio and spend regular time on multiple sites to measure progress and resolve commercial issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• At least 10 years of quantity surveying experience.
• Full, clean driving licence and clean criminal record for work‑permit eligibility.
• Experience on residential, commercial or hospitality projects is advantageous.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of cost management software.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
