Technician, Environment & Sustainability (Environmental Lead)

About the role

This position supports the HESS Manager and Supervisor in implementing and maintaining environmental programs at Half Moon Cay, a Carnival Corporation destination. The role ensures compliance, assists with inspections and audits, and promotes a culture of prevention across port operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and monitor waste segregation, recycling, emissions, water and energy consumption data.
• Perform wastewater sample analysis and support external laboratory sampling.
• Conduct workplace and guest area inspections to identify environmental risks.
• Participate in pest‑control monitoring, sustainability awareness campaigns, and emergency‑preparedness drills.
• Maintain accurate records, collaborate with vendors, and support data analysis within maintenance software.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in environmental, public health, or safety preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in HESS‑related or operational support roles.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001, EPA standards, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with data entry and reporting tools.
• Detail‑oriented with proactive problem‑solving abilities.
