Audit Staff – Banking & Capital Markets (FSO Assurance)

About the role

EY’s Financial Services Office (FSO) is looking for an Audit Staff member to join the Banking & Capital Markets segment. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands, providing assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients in asset management, private equity, banking, capital markets and insurance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audit procedures and develop client‑focused audit strategies for financial statements.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients to deliver tailored assurance services and support business development.
• Identify potential risks, propose improvements to audit processes and contribute to revenue growth.
• Stay updated on business trends and emerging technologies to act as a trusted advisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related business discipline.
• Minimum nine months of audit experience in a public accounting firm.
• Progress towards or possession of an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., US CPA, Canadian CPA).
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple engagements.
