Data Control Clerk

About the role

The Data Control Clerk supports the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission on Andros Island, Bahamas. The role ensures the secure handling, processing, and distribution of classified test data for naval undersea warfare projects.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sort, control, document, and issue classified data within the Data Processing unit.
• Prepare and package data for shipment via U.S. postal system, express mail, shipboard rendezvous, or courier, complying with security and handling regulations.
• Verify test package completion for real‑time and post‑test data items as required by test plans and directives.
• Proofread receipts and review data items before distribution.
• Collaborate with range users, NUWC personnel, program engineers, and other departments to meet data issuance specifications.
• Extract, issue, and post bathythermograph and sound velocity profile data.
• Update the Lost Weapons report and conduct monthly Fire Warden checks.
• Perform general clerical tasks and cover weekend, 1st and 2nd shifts as scheduled.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of administrative experience in a data control or office environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb and reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.
• Valid passport and U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
