Entry Level Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) – Nassau

About the role

We are seeking an entry‑level Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist to join our laboratory in Nassau. The role involves collecting blood samples, performing routine tests, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment such as analyzers and microscopes.
• Collect, label, and process blood, urine and other specimens following standard protocols.
• Record and verify test results in the laboratory information system (LIS) within established time frames.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities while adhering to safety and infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Certification or eligibility for certification by a recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to maintain accurate records and work under pressure.
• Good problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Phlebotomy and venipuncture.
• Operation and calibration of laboratory equipment and microscopes.
• Performance of CLIA‑waived tests.
• Use of Laboratory Information System (LIS) for data entry and result verification.
• Quality control and infection‑control procedures.
