Food Service Specialist – Andros Island

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Food Service Specialist to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission on Andros Island, Bahamas. The role involves operating the point‑of‑sale system, preparing and serving meals, and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate POS terminals, handle cash, and ensure accurate transactions.
• Prepare, assemble, cook, and serve menu items according to weekly recipes.
• Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and verify freshness of ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas, including dishwashing and waste segregation.
• Collaborate with material coordinators and supervisors to replenish stock and address equipment issues.
• Follow all health, safety, and quality regulations (U.S. Public Health Service, FDA Food Code, EHS policies).
• Provide excellent customer service and report any hazards or issues promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience as a cook in a restaurant, banquet or buffet setting.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Must be a citizen of the Bahamas.
