Food Service Specialist (Casual)

About the role

Amentum is looking for a reliable Food Service Specialist on a casual, on‑call basis to support operations at the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) on Andros Island, Bahamas. The role is reserved for Bahamian citizens and involves preparing, serving, and maintaining a safe dining environment for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, manage stock displays, and keep product areas clean.
• Prepare, assemble, cook, and serve menu items according to weekly recipes.
• Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and ensure freshness and proper storage.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining room, kitchen, and pantry, including dishwashing and waste segregation.
• Collaborate with material coordinators and supervisors to replenish products and address equipment issues.
• Follow U.S. Public Health Service, FDA Food Code, and site safety policies to ensure a safe workplace.

Required profile

• Bahamian citizenship (mandatory).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant, banquet, or buffet setting.
• Ability to work in hot, humid conditions and perform tasks outdoors when required.
