Real Estate US Tax Senior – Bahamas

About the role

Join EY's Financial Services Office and work within the Bahamas Business Centre (BBC) to provide US tax compliance and advisory services for real estate and private equity funds. As a senior tax professional, you will help clients navigate federal, state and local tax requirements while aligning tax strategies with their business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with US tax compliance and advisory work for real estate and private equity fund clients.
• Prepare and file federal tax returns such as Form 1065, Form 1120 and Form 1120‑REIT.
• Compile Schedule K‑1 and K‑3 packages for investors.
• Analyze investment portfolios and financial data to determine appropriate tax adjustments.
• Review partnership agreements and private placement memorandums for tax implications, including book‑to‑tax allocations and fee structures.
• Manage day‑to‑day engagement activities and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across locations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in US tax compliance and advisory, preferably within real estate or fund structures.
• Strong technical knowledge of real estate fund taxation and US federal, international, state and local tax rules.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and identify book‑to‑tax differences.
• Experience reading and interpreting partnership agreements and private placement documents.
