Security Guard – AUTEC Project

About the role

The Security Guard will support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) project on Andros Island, Bahamas. You will help maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and government assets, while complying with US government security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Control vehicle and pedestrian access, ensuring compliance with visitor regulations.
• Inspect and control material entry into facilities.
• Conduct security checks of assigned areas and complete compliance and safety inspections.
• Maintain security logs and report incidents to Navy Security Forces.
• Work 12‑hour shifts (day or night) for a minimum of five consecutive days.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in a security environment; experience in classified settings preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, drive, climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 50 lb.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Willingness to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.
