Security Guard

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Security Guard for the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) on Andros Island, Bahamas. The role supports a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and government assets on the AUTEC project.

Key responsibilities

• Control vehicle and pedestrian access, ensuring compliance with visitor regulations.
• Inspect and control material access into facilities.
• Conduct security checks of assigned facilities and areas.
• Perform compliance and safety inspections per established policies.
• Maintain logs and report security incidents to Navy Security Forces.
• Work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, for a minimum of five consecutive days.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in a security environment; experience in classified settings preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship required to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to meet physical standards: standing, walking, driving, jumping, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting up to 50 lb.
• Pass a physical examination by a licensed health professional.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.
