Senior Vice President Finance – Insurance & Investments

About the role

The Senior Vice President (SVP) Finance leads financial strategy, performance management, planning and reporting for a diversified group operating in insurance, investment and asset‑management businesses. Reporting to the Group CFO, the SVP partners with the CEO, Board and business‑unit leaders to drive profitability, capital efficiency and sustainable growth in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute group‑wide financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring.
• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts, analysis and executive dashboards.
• Lead FP&A and commercial finance, turning data into strategic decisions.
• Monitor revenue, margins, cash flow and return on capital across all business lines.
• Provide financial leadership for insurance operations, including premium income, claims, reserves and underwriting performance.
• Supervise investment and asset‑management finance, covering portfolio reporting, valuation and performance analysis.
• Support capital planning, solvency, liquidity management and balance‑sheet optimisation.
• Direct treasury planning, liquidity monitoring and cash‑management activities.
• Strengthen governance, internal controls, policies and risk‑management frameworks.
• Ensure timely statutory, regulatory and management reporting.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Actuarial, Treasury, Audit and Legal on financial matters.
• Lead financial due diligence, modelling and valuation for M&A, joint ventures and acquisitions.
• Identify cost‑optimization and operational‑efficiency opportunities.
• Drive finance transformation, automation, ERP implementation and analytics initiatives.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing finance team.
• Support the CFO and CEO with board presentations, strategic reviews and long‑term value creation.
