Tracking Controller (In-Air/In-Water Systems)

About the role

The Tracking Controller will manage real‑time in‑air and in‑water range tracking systems for the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) on Andros Island, Bahamas. Reporting to the Test Operations Manager, you will ensure tracking operations meet test requirements efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor real‑time range tracking systems during test events.
• Review test operation documents, including directives, plans, and naval messages.
• Coordinate tracking requirements with down‑range personnel before, during, and after tests.
• Attend range safety briefs, pre‑test meetings, and scheduling sessions.
• Prepare and staff tracking stations in the Real‑time Display Center as required.
• Maintain real‑time logs and generate deficiency and utilization reports.
• Provide technical evaluations of real‑time issues and propose alternatives.
• Exercise independent judgment to meet customer demands while aligning with company objectives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Electronics, or equivalent preferred; military or commercial technical experience may substitute.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance and possess a valid U.S. passport.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.
• Physical ability to navigate stairs, board range craft, and work in a remote location with limited medical facilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook and related email tools.
• Knowledge of real‑time tracking systems and related certification requirements.
