Road Tanker Wagon (RTW) Driver – Fuel Transport

About the role

The Road Tanker Wagon (RTW) Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient loading, transport and off‑loading of fuels to various sites in Nassau. The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures, vehicle maintenance, and professional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑shift vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Ensure all equipment, hoses and connections are in good condition and leak‑free.
• Load fuel safely, verify correct fuel type and quantity, and complete Safe Discharge Certificates for each delivery.
• Maintain accurate daily trip logs, including loading, journey, maintenance and waiting times.
• Collect and reconcile cheques at delivery sites, ensuring proper endorsement and documentation.
• Operate the RTW using defensive driving techniques to achieve zero accidents.
• Respond to fire or spill emergencies and participate in safety drills and audits.
• Attend required training, safety meetings and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education with basic literacy and numeracy.
• 3–5 years incident‑free experience driving tractor‑trailers and heavy goods vehicles.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow HSSE procedures.
