Road Tanker Wagon (RTW) Driver

About the role

The Road Tanker Wagon (RTW) Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of fuels from the Clifton Pier Terminal to various delivery sites across Nassau. The role involves loading, driving, and off‑loading fuel while adhering to strict health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑shift vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Load fuel onto the RTW ensuring the vehicle is bonded, compartments are empty and the correct fuel type and quantity are loaded.
• Complete daily trip logs, Safe Discharge Certificates and any Unsatisfactory Delivery Condition reports.
• Collect and reconcile cheques at delivery sites and return all documents to the depot.
• Operate the vehicle defensively to achieve zero accidents and respond to fire or spill emergencies.
• Participate in safety meetings, training courses and incident investigations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure sufficient fuel for each journey.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education with basic literacy and numeracy.
• 3‑5 years incident‑free experience driving tractor‑trailers or heavy goods vehicles.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow HSSE procedures.
• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for heavy vehicle operation.
