Road Tanker Wagon (RTW) Driver

About the role

Sol Petroleum (Bahamas) Ltd is seeking a reliable Road Tanker Wagon (RTW) Driver to safely transport fuels to various sites across Nassau. You will be responsible for loading, delivering, and off‑loading fuel while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑shift vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Load, transport, and unload fuel safely, ensuring the vehicle is bonded and compartments are empty before loading.
• Complete daily trip logs, Safe Discharge Certificates (SDC) and Unsatisfactory Delivery Condition reports.
• Collect and reconcile cheques at delivery sites, returning all documents to the depot.
• Respond to fire or spill emergencies and participate in safety drills.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure sufficient fuel for each journey.
• Attend training, safety meetings and contribute to incident investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education with basic literacy and numeracy.
• 3‑5 years incident‑free experience driving tractor‑trailers or heavy vehicles.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow HSSE procedures.
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.

Required skills

• Defensive driving techniques.
• Vehicle inspection and maintenance reporting.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe discharge certification.
