Road Tanker Wagon (RTW) Driver

About the role

The Road Tanker Wagon (RTW) Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient loading, transport and off‑loading of fuels to various sites in Nassau. Working from the Clifton Pier Terminal, the driver ensures compliance with all safety and HSSE standards while delivering a professional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑shift vehicle inspections and report any defects or incidents.
• Load, transport and unload fuel safely, ensuring the vehicle is bonded, compartments are empty before loading, and the correct fuel type and quantity are delivered.
• Complete daily trip logs, Safe Discharge Certificates (SDC) and any Unsatisfactory Delivery Conditions Reports.
• Collect and reconcile cheques at delivery sites, returning all documents to the depot.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure sufficient fuel for each journey.
• Respond to fire or spill emergencies on the RTW and participate in safety drills and audits.
• Practice defensive driving techniques to achieve zero accidents caused by the driver.
• Attend required training, safety meetings and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education with basic literacy and numeracy.
• 3–5 years incident‑free driving experience with tractor‑trailers and heavy goods vehicles.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow HSSE procedures.
