Director of Sales & Marketing

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and relationship‑driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead all sales efforts for a landmark luxury resort in the Bahamas. This senior position will shape the commercial success of British Colonial Nassau, driving occupancy, ADR growth, and total revenue while building strong partnerships across group, leisure, catering, and corporate markets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive group, transient, and catering revenue through proactive sales efforts and strategic prospecting.
• Develop and execute annual sales, marketing, and business plans.
• Manage sales forecasts, budgets, and revenue strategies.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing sales team.
• Conduct client presentations, site tours, and outside sales calls.
• Negotiate contracts and secure new business opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with ownership groups, community partners, tourism organizations, and key accounts.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, revenue management, catering, and marketing teams to maximize overall resort performance.

Required profile

• Progressive hotel or resort sales leadership experience.
• Strong background in group and leisure market segmentation.
• Proven ability to drive revenue growth and exceed sales goals.
• Experience developing and implementing strategic sales plans.
