Experienced Coffee Barista

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Coffee Barista with extensive experience in specialty coffee preparation to join our fast‑paced café in Nassau. The successful candidate will deliver consistently high‑quality espresso‑based beverages while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of espresso‑based drinks, including cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos and specialty coffees.
• Operate and maintain professional espresso machines, grinders and brewing equipment.
• Apply advanced knowledge of coffee beans, roasting profiles, brewing methods and extraction techniques.
• Perform milk steaming, texturing and latte art to professional standards.
• Maintain beverage quality, presentation and cleanliness of the coffee station.
• Monitor inventory, manage supplies and ensure food safety compliance.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior baristas.

Required profile

• Minimum 7–8 years of professional barista experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy café environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Barista certification or professional coffee training is an asset.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial espresso machines and coffee equipment.
• Expertise in latte art and milk texturing.
• In‑depth knowledge of specialty coffee preparation and brewing techniques.
