Inventory Manager

About the role

The Inventory Manager is responsible for auditing, data collection, and reporting to support the Supply Warehouse & Cost Control Manager on MSC's private island, Ocean Cay. This role ensures accurate inventory records, optimal stock levels, and compliance with internal procedures while contributing to the island's procurement and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inventory audits and verify accuracy of consumption, stock movements, and internal transfers.
• Collect and analyse on‑site cost and stock data to prepare structured reports for senior management.
• Process requisition documents (RDA) and ensure timely submission to procurement.
• Maintain inventory records for at least 12 months and ensure they are inspection‑ready.
• Identify low‑stock or slow‑moving items and communicate proactively with department managers.
• Supervise loading operations and the daily use of company equipment, ensuring safety and proper maintenance.
• Train storekeeping staff on equipment usage and inventory procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years and in good health with no physical limitations.
• Strong collaborative work style and demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Ability to follow approved budgets and communicate any variances promptly.

Required skills

• Experience with inventory auditing and stock control processes.
• Familiarity with procurement requisition documentation (RDA).
• Knowledge of cost‑control principles in a hospitality or resort environment.
