Personal Banking Officer - Nassau

About the role

The Personal Banking Officer works on site in the Nassau branch and contributes to its success by meeting sales targets and serving mid-market retail customers with practical advice and good customer service. The officer also identifies referral opportunities to other business lines such as Premium Banking, Small Business, Wealth Management and Corporate and Commercial, while complying with all operational policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and exceed weekly, monthly and annual sales targets across product categories, using the Sales Conversation Roadmap and the Bank's Total View and Get More tools to grow share of wallet.
• Manage the sales pipeline and time, track activities in Counselor, and complete sales administration efficiently.
• Keep up to date on product features, pricing and local competitor offers, and take part in coaching, sales meetings and training.
• Advise customers on investments suited to their goals and risk tolerance, and authorise applications within policy limits.
• Acquire and retain mid-market customers, run promotional programmes and direct marketing campaigns, and set up customers on alternate channels.
• Refer affluent customers to Premium Relationship Officers and other lines of business, and follow up on leads.
• Deliver a superior customer experience, resolve complaints proactively and take part in the branch's TYCE Action Plan.
• Carry out compliance and security duties, including KYC checks, keeping information secure and reporting suspicious activity.
• Develop an annual employee development plan and take part in the Applause Program.

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of retail banking products, pricing, policies and processes.
• Customer needs assessment, interviewing, telemarketing, negotiation and selling.
• Knowledge of internet banking, mobile banking and ATMs.
• Pipeline management and use of the sales and service platforms Get More, the core banking system and Counselor.
• Regulatory compliance and AML/ATF requirements, including KYC.
