Point of Sale Advisor – Temporary Position

About the role

DHL Express Bahamas is seeking a motivated Point of Sale (POS) Advisor on a temporary contract to cover maternity leave from September 2026 to January 2027. You will be the front‑line representative, helping customers choose the best shipping solutions while delivering a high‑quality service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with document and package shipments, providing guidance on customs, transit times and pricing.
• Process payments, perform daily cash reconciliation and handle cash transactions.
• Promote DHL products and value‑added services such as insurance and guaranteed delivery options.
• Identify sales opportunities, contribute to revenue growth and meet sales targets.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve concerns professionally and ensure accurate tracking of passports and shipments.
• Maintain high standards of security, organization and customer service at the POS location.

Required profile

• Experience in customer service, retail, sales or hospitality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Confidence in promoting products and services.
