Purchasing Assistant

About the role

The Purchasing Assistant works full‑time on‑site in Nassau, supporting the procurement function for ITS Luxury Retail’s stores. The role involves preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries and maintaining accurate records for local vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders for all local vendors.
• Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Communicate with suppliers to compare pricing and product availability.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels to keep stores stocked.
• Collaborate with store teams and the purchasing department to resolve order discrepancies.
• Manage returns or exchanges and help optimise purchasing processes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of purchasing processes and best practices.
• Experience creating, managing and tracking purchase orders.
• Knowledge of procurement principles and vendor relationship management.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency with basic office software and familiarity with inventory or purchasing systems.
• Prior experience in retail, supply chain or purchasing support is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional business or supply‑chain coursework is an advantage.
