Real Estate Tax Manager – FSO

About the role

Join EY's Financial Services Office (FSO) as a Manager in the Real Estate Tax practice. You will lead US tax compliance and advisory engagements for real estate and private equity funds, working with multidisciplinary teams across the globe.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate US tax compliance and advisory work for real estate and private equity fund clients.
• Implement tax strategies aligned with client business objectives across federal, international, state and local tax matters.
• Oversee US tax compliance accounts, reviewing investment portfolios, financial data, and making appropriate tax adjustments.
• Prepare and review federal tax returns (Form 1065, Form 1120, Form 1120‑REIT) and associated Schedule K‑1 & K‑3 packages.
• Analyze partnership agreements and private placement memorandums for US tax implications.
• Lead day‑to‑day engagement activities and coordinate with clients and EY internal teams worldwide.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of US real estate tax regulations.
• Experience managing tax compliance engagements for funds.
• Ability to analyze complex financial statements for tax purposes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple locations.
