Treasury Manager – Caribbean Treasury Unit

About the role

The Treasury Manager will support the Treasury Unit within the Managing Director’s Office in The Bahamas, overseeing funding, liquidity, risk management and financial analysis for the Caribbean North region. This senior position ensures compliance with regulations and internal policies while driving strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute funding and liquidity strategies to optimise balance‑sheet positions, net interest margins and meet regulatory requirements in both local and foreign currencies.
• Manage treasury risk in line with the group’s risk‑management policies, monitoring product and credit limits, and addressing limit overruns promptly.
• Conduct financial planning and analysis for the North District, highlighting trends, performance against benchmarks and providing actionable insights.
• Support the Treasury Risk Management framework, measuring and controlling interest‑rate, funding, liquidity, FX and investment risks.
• Maintain strong relationships with regulators and government officials on liquidity, investment, foreign‑exchange, compliance and regulatory matters.

Required profile

• Business degree in Finance or Investments, or CFA designation.
• Minimum 10 years of banking experience, including at least 5 years in treasury.
• Deep knowledge of local and international market operations and treasury risk mitigation.
• Strong organisational and managerial abilities to lead staff and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
