Complex Director of Human Resources

About the role

Aimbridge Hospitality is looking for an experienced, people-first Complex Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function across two Nassau resorts: Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau and British Colonial Nassau. The role serves as a trusted advisor to property leadership while shaping the people strategy across the complex, which has about 700 associates. It suits a seasoned hospitality HR leader who wants to stay close to the operation, develop leaders and build culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the culture by championing an engaging, inclusive workplace where associates feel connected to the business, their teams and the guest experience, bringing the Margaritaville brand culture to life.
• Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, talent decisions, workforce planning and associate development.
• Stay close to the operation, building relationships and keeping a pulse on what associates and leaders need.
• Develop leaders through coaching, training and development, and help identify and prepare talented associates for future roles.
• Own the HR fundamentals: recruitment, associate relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, training, compliance, workplace safety, HR reporting and recordkeeping.
• Handle employee relations situations professionally, consistently and with cultural awareness.
• Monitor turnover and workforce trends, manage the HR budget and use people data to inform priorities and decisions.
• Support the complex's preparation for a new HRIS implementation, including change, adoption and modernization of HR operations.

Required profile

• At least five years of progressive HR experience in a hotel or related industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory responsibility.
