Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

Crusoe's is hiring a Food & Beverage Manager in Nassau, Bahamas, to run the F&B department as a head of department. The role covers day-to-day operations, service standards, staff management, inventory and cost control, and liaison with accounts, purchasing and human resources.

Key responsibilities

• Run the department according to hotel policy and company standards, including service quality, cleanliness and sanitation
• Manage the on-duty manager, approve requisitions and overtime, and counter-sign purchase requests
• Monitor inventory, oversee stock rotation, bookkeeping and end-of-month counts, and liaise with accounts, purchasing and HR on invoices, recruitment and training
• Plan and coordinate cleaning programmes, and arrange equipment maintenance and repairs
• Deliver amenities to guests and manage F&B functions and meetings
• Promote F&B offerings to improve revenue and customer loyalty, including a daily F&B representative in the lobby during set hours
• Help forecast restaurant and bar revenues, maintain budgets and control wastage
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports, attend department and supervisory meetings, and keep the communication board updated
• Recruit, train and coach staff, review performance evaluations every six months and handle guest complaints and special requests
