Applications and Range Systems Manager

About the role

The Applications and Range Systems Manager leads software development, business systems support, and real‑time range system administration for AUTEC. This on‑site position requires technical leadership, project management, and cybersecurity compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative leadership to application development and range systems teams, managing workload distribution, performance, and training.
• Direct design, development, deployment, and maintenance of business applications built with Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#.NET 4.8 and .NET Core.
• Oversee configuration management, source control, code reviews, testing, documentation and release management for all software.
• Ensure real‑time range applications remain fully available, provide 24‑hour on‑call support during critical events, and manage escalation of system failures.
• Maintain DoD IA compliance, security documentation, property control, and office safety inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience with software development, systems administration or range‑mission support, plus 2+ years of management experience.
• CompTIA Security+ certification and U.S. citizenship required for Secret clearance.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows, enterprise server/network environments, and advanced Excel functions.
• Ability to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities and maintain a valid passport and driver’s license.
